Akademi
provides financial aid up to Rs. 10,000/- to the writers for publication
of their books after appraisal of the text.
Many of the books,published have received awards and acclaim at
the national level.

Financial
Assistance For Literary Functions
|
|
Under
this scheme, financial assistance is given to literary organizations
of Haryana for holding functions for the promotions of Urdu language
& literature. A sum of Rs. 7,000/- is given as graint-in- aid
to the organizers.

On Published Books |
| Aged
and estabished Urdu writers are honoured for their distinguished literary
works and services. An award of Rs. 7,000/-is also given for selected
books on merit. |

Computer
Centre
|
|
A Computer Centre has been established in collaboration with National
Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL) Govt. of India. A
One Year Diploma in Computer Application and Desk Top Publishing
has been started. Applications for this programme are invited in
the month of September/October. This is a serious attempt of
its kind in this region to teach Urdu language through computer.

One Year Diploma in Urdu through correspondence has been started by
the Akademi in close association with NCPUL. Registered persons are
given learning material by the Akademi free of cost. |

Literary
Functions
|
|
The
Akademi organises literary functions like Seminars, Mushairas, Workshops,
Sham-e-Ghazal, Book Fairs, Urdu Quiz Programmes in Colleges etc.

Publication
of Books and Magazines
|
|
Akademi
publishes books and two quarterly magazines namely 'Jamna Tat' and
' Urdu Disha'. Many of the books, published by the Akademi have
received awards and acclaim at the National level. Jamna Tat is
a mirror of contemporary Urdu literature. Urdu Disha, which is a
unique experiment, is published in Devnagari script with the sole
purpose of bringing Urdu literature closer to non Urdu knowing readers.
